It is the meausure of the liklihood of an event.
Heres some vocabulary you'll need to understand what I will be saying..
Outcome is the possible result of an experiment
Total Possible Outcome (TPO) are all the possible outcomes of an experiment.
Event is any possible outcome of an experiment of probability.
Independent event is the outcome where the results don't effect eachother
Percent is a fraction or ratio that the denominator is 100
There are two kinds of probability:
Theoretical Probablity is the mathematical calculation that an event will happen in theory or things that you assume that will happen.
e.g:
1 . Suppose you roll a regular 8-faced die .
How many equally likely outcomes are there ?
There are 8 outcomes (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
If you roll the die once, what is the probability of rolling a 3 ?
The probability of rolling a 3 would be 1/8 or 12.5%
(i got this from my blog thingy hehe)
heres a chart :
Experimental Probablity:
experimental proabability are the outcomes of what happened when you tried the experiment out (ususally in the short run)
