Perfect Square Chart
You can use this chart to figure out the squareroot of a square
For Example: What is the square root of 22 ?
Answer: You find out where 22 is, It's between 4x4 which is 16 and 5x5 wich is a 25
Your Equation would be:
√22 = 4 x 4 4.__ 5 x 5
16 22 25
Expressing it as a mixed fraction:
Find out where the number is in between a perfect square and find the next perfect square. Count how many squares are between the two perfect squares (dont include the first square!!) What ever the amount is, that will be your denominator. The mixed number represents the Equal sides or the exponent of your first perfect square. The numerator represents the number of the square out of the denominator.

Shortcut:
Subtract the square root with the first perfect square to find out the numerator
Subtract the second perfect square with the first perfect square to find out the denominator
Mixed number always the first perfect square
example:
√22 = 4 x 4 4.__ 5 x 5
16 22 25
mixed = 4
numerator = 22 - 16 = 6
denominator = 25 - 16 = 9
Mixed Fraction = 46/9
HOW TO GET THE DECIMAL:
divide the numerator by the denominator || 6/9 = 0.666
place the decimals in the equation. you dont really need the mixed number because it's the same thing that's in the equation.
Final Answer:
√22 = 4 x 4 4.666 5 x 5
16 22 25
You wont actually get the exact answer but if its really close then it's alright. The answer to this question is suppose to be
4.666666666666666666666666666667 but you only have to go up the the hundredths place (:
