Square Roots
A square root is two of the same numbers put into a square. E.G. 2x2=4
Now some numbers are not perfect squares. ( on the exam, be sure to draw them with a little afro or mullet for the extra pieces)

To find the square root of a number that is not actually square, you must find the two closest perfect squares. Say that you have the number 29. The two closest perfect squares are 25 and 36. 25 is your first number, so the first number in your answer will be 5. Since 29 is not a perfect square, it will end in a decimal.
Now you must find the decimal places to 36.
25 26 27 28 29 31 32 33 34 35 36
36-25=11 Since 29 is the 4th number out of 11, your answer is 5 and 4/11. Now you must turn 4/11 into a decimal. 4/11=0.36
Your answer is 5.36
The square root of 29 is 5.36
