For example : 7/9

First step : You multiply what you got to 100.

- 7 x 100

Second step : After multiplying you then divide by the total

- 7 x 100 ÷ 9

Which equals .. 77.7%

> How to convert a decimal to a percent:

For example: .25

First step : You multiply .25 by 100

- .25 x 100 = 25%

> How to convert a ratio into a percent:

For example: 7:10

First step : add the two parts. (7 + 10 = 17)  choose either part A or B to be the numerator

- 7/17

Second step : After turning it into a fraction you then multiply and divide.

- 7 x 100 ÷ 17 = 41.1%

> How to find percent out of a number

For example: 40% of 70 .

first step: divide 70 by 100  (70 ÷ 100 = 0.7)

second step: after getting the result, multiply the number by the percent # given. (0.7 x 40 = 28)
