Background information

Janna and Maxine are doing a video about Percents and Algebra. The basic things it will include for percents are: Converting percents to

decimals, fractions and ratios, finding how much the price would come to during a sale.

What are percents?

Percents are eqivalent fractions out of 100. They can also be

converted into Fractions, Decimals, and Ratios.

To convert a percent into a fraction you simply put the percent

over 100 and take away the percent(%) signs.

To convert a Percent into a Decimal you simply divide the percent by 100 and take away the Percent(%) sign.

To convert a Percent into a Ratio you take the percent and put it as the First Part. Then you take the Percent and Subtract it from 100 to get the Second Part.

To convert a Fraction into a Percent you simply divide the Numerator by the Denominator and multiply you answer by 100.

To convert a Decimal into a Percent you simply multiply the Decimal by 100 and add a Percent(%) sign.

To convert a Ratio into a Percent you simply take the First Part and make it the Percent and add a Percent(%) sign.
